John Richard Fitzpatrick, Seymour, died March 25, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle in Seymour.
In 1957, he graduated from West Pennsylvania School for the Deaf,
Pittsburgh, Pa. He attended the Central Bible Institute at Springfield, Mo.,
from 1960 to 1963. He was a layman and served as a deaf minister at Alliance
Church in Erie, Pa., for eight years. After moving to Indianapolis, he gave
28 years of service as a housekeeper at Indiana School for the Deaf, where
he retired from June 30, 2000.
Born July 4, 1937, at Hamot Hospital, Erie, Pa., he was a son of Jack
Fitzpatrick and Virginia Sechrist Fitzpatrick, both of whom preceded him in
death. On June 30, 1972, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he married Beatrice Mann, who
survives.
Other survivors include a brother, Thomas G. Fitzpatrick, Virginia, and two
sisters, Virginia Weber and Sharon L. Lazzarine, both of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George M. Fitzpatrick.
The Rev. Larry Arrowood, the Rev. Jack Lazzarine, the Rev. Bob Canty and the
Rev. Brad Schaff will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
Apostolic Pentecostal Tabernacle, Seymour. Burial will take place at
Grandview Memorial Garden, Madison.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Funeral Chapel,
Seymour, and from noon until time of service Wednesday at the church.
