Pavilion Project Flyer Form

In year 1906 the WPSD woodworking class took on the responsibility of building a pavilion for the enjoyment of the students and alumni. They completed the project in 1907.

For seventy years, the Alumni Pavilion (as it was known) provided a place for friends to gather and a meeting place for a variety of activities. When the pavilion was torn down of the alumni felt it was a real loss to the community.

Now the WPSD Alumni Association has decided to rebuild the pavilion on the campus near the boys’ dorm. The new pavilion will be built following the same design a the original one. The goal is that volunteers from the deaf community come together and complete the construction by the summer of 2011.

$30,000 is needed to complete the new Alumni Pavilion. We hope that you will give your support to this worthwhile project.

Checks can be made payable to the WPSD Alumni Association Pavilion Fund and send an address to 300 East Swissvale Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15218.

Your gift will help to build memories and continue an important tradition.
