Our WPSD alumnus endorse #WPSDProud in Facebook page. This fundraiser is in support of everyone at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD)!
Over the past many months a group on Facebook using the hashtag #WPSDOppression has unjustly launched an attack at anyone who supports WPSD. Most of the oppressors in this group live thousands of miles away and have no personal knowledge about the school.
We are raising money for the students, teachers, staff, parents and administrators at WPSD who work every day to prepare Deaf children across Pennsylvania for life. No matter what obstacles they face, their focus on providing the highest quality education never waivers. In fact, their goal is not to only teach children what can simply be found in a book. Their goal is far greater! It is to prepare every student for LIFE!
The first $1,000 that is raised will be used as a literal sign of gratitude. Funds will provide a “thank you” party and goodies to teachers and students at the school. Additional funds above the $1,000 will support programs at WPSD in the name of #WPSDProud. All usages will be transparent and shared on this page.
