Obituary: Janet L. Miller, Class of 1962

janet-miller-ripJanet Lorraine Miller, 73, of Seneca, died at 8:26 am, Monday, October 3, 2016, at the Titusville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Born January 15, 1943 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late William F. Reisinger Sr. and Martha Coburn-Reisinger Kaster.

Janet graduated from the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in 1962.

She was a member of the Oil City Community Alliance Church and the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club.

Janet loved Pittsburgh Steelers football and would frequently be seen wearing all sorts of Steelers apparel.

She enjoyed playing any kind of game, especially bingo and was very competitive. Despite her competitive nature, she was loved by all and will be remembered by her ability to make friends wherever she would go.

On February 25, 1964, she was married to Thomas Miller Sr. who preceded her in death.

Surviving are four children, Thomas Miller Jr. and his wife Julie of Laurel, MD, Susan Dempsey and her husband Michael of Rio Rancho, NM, Mike Miller and his wife Rose of Venus, and Brenda Struthers and her husband Joseph of Oil City; six grandchildren, Michelle, Shantelle, and Rachelle Miller, Bradley Downing, and Shiloh and Hunter Struthers.

Also surviving is a brother, Charles Reisinger and his wife Fern of The Villages, FL, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lewis, William, and James Reisinger; a sister, Winifred Reisinger; and an infant brother.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10 am with Fran Nesta, an elder at OCCA, officiating.

Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.

The Morrison Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials in Janet’s name may be made to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, 300 E Swissvale Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
