John Ottavio Cimarolli, 74 of Girard formerly of Avella, Pa, passed away on June 15, 2017 at his home of natural causes.

He was born September 25, 1942 in Avella, (Washington County), a son of the late John and Clementina (Lolli) Cimarolli.

He graduated from the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in 1961. Following high school he attended body shop and painting school in Pittsburgh, PA and also worked for a Lumber Co. He moved to Girard in 1972 and began working at PHB Die Casting Division where he was a Grinder and a rougher, retiring from in 1992.

He was a member of the Erie Silent Club. John loved showing his cars and was especially proud of his yellow 2002 Mustang and yellow 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport. He enjoyed many days going to car shows and “cruise in’s” throughout the area. John and his family were huge Notre Dame fans and he loved fishing on his boat the “Deaf Angler” and being in the outdoors as often as he could be there.

He will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted daughter, JoAnn Cimarolli-Custer (Joe) of Fort Shawnee, OH., his three grandsons, Cory and Jordan Hughes, Cameron Cimarolli; a daughter, Betty Cimarolli of Lexington, SC, his granddaughters, Cassidy and Alexa Skladany; his grandson, Jesse Berkoben, a daughter, Rachael Neumann of Elizabeth, PA, granddaughters, Taylor Mazza, Berlin Neumann, twin grandsons, Phoenix and Memphis Neumann; a sister, Madeline Lis of Wheeling, WV; a brother, David Cimarolli of Canal Winchester, OH; his long time friend, who was like a brother, John List (Betty) of Fairview, also several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Pawlo and Pax, whom were always by his side.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, 300 East Swissvale Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15218, Attn. Advancement.
