Jo Ann (Lebda) DeLong was passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Pray & comfort her family & friends.

Joann Delong, 79, Roaring Spring, died Tuesday evening at her residence.

She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Lupjo) Lebda. On Sept. 24, 1960, she married John Delong, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 2004.

She is survived by six nieces and nephews: Alan Paratto and wife, Denise, David Paratto and wife, Laura, Cynthia Ringler and husband, Richard, Sue Stewert and husband, Dave, Mike Zias and Shirley Skwirut and husband, Chester; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth E. Delong and wife, Zeda, of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by four siblings: Helen Paratto, Ann Zias, John Lebda and Thomas Lebda; and a niece, Patricia Zias.

Joann was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. She retired from Veeder-Root Co. after 18 years of service.

She enjoyed snow skiing, boating and water skiing, and she was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of the Deaf.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.

Contributions in Joann’s memory may be given to Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, 300 E. Swissvale Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15218.
