WILSON – Charlotte Jean, 89, South Fork, died September 12, 2022. Born October 3, 1932, in Summerhill, last surviving child of Walter R. and Hazel I. (Krouse) Wilson.

Preceded in death by parents; grandson, Devon Gregory, infant brother, James; brother, Donald W. Wilson; and sister, Sannie E. Wilson. Survived by son, Richard “Rick,” married to Valerie (Monroe), South Fork; daughter, Cynthia L. Wilson, fiancée of Owen Sandy, Philadelphia; grandchildren, Robert and Dante Gunby, great granddaughters, Imani and Inayah; nephew, Marty Wilson; and niece, Cheryl Petak.

Jean was a graduate of The Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, past president of Deaf Senior Citizens, and a longtime member of the Ebensburg Senior Activity Center.

She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed reading, and watching old western movies. She had a gentle nature and generous sense of humor.

Happiest on the move, Jean enjoyed family gatherings, and seeing familiar faces.

She was an advocate for her community and found joy in the opportunity to show the world that it’s the differences and uniqueness between us that make life interesting.
