
The Alumni Association of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf was established on September 26, 1914, with its first reunion held on September 1, 1915. According to its founding constitution, the Association’s mission is:
“To promote social interaction among former students of the School, to uphold high standards of conduct, to extend support to those in need, to advocate for the interests of the deaf community, and to strengthen connections between alumni and the School’s faculty and administration.”
Since its founding, the Association has hosted many meaningful and enjoyable reunions, continuing to foster a spirit of community, support, and shared purpose among alumni.
